This year’s main fundraiser is the Hemby Bridge Hero Run! It’s a 2-week program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on Monday, October 30th. Families will then gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps), and we’ll celebrate at the Fun Run on Wednesday, November 8th.
With our big goal of raising $17,000 for MEDIA CENTER UPGRADES, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run and make it more profitable, easier, and fun. Students will also experience an amazing character theme, CASTLE QUEST! an English castle theme all about being brave and living with character. On their quest to regain Bravemore Castle, students will learn the “SIX VIRTUES of a TRUE HERO” from a cast of colorful characters.
Donations will go toward MEDIA CENTER UPGRADES and to the entire 9-day experience. So please help our school by reaching out to sponsors. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run! Thank you for your support!
Join us for our first Pink Out Day!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in woman. Our very own 4th grade teacher and HBES parent, Mrs. Costa, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. We decided to take this opportunity to step-up and show our support for Mrs. Costa and all those affected by breast cancer. Here is what you can do:
Wear PINK to school Oct. 5th.
Purchase a Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet from your classroom. Each student who donates at least $1 will receive a special bracelet. All profits will go to the Costa family.
Eat Dinner at Mia Famiglia Restaurant and Pizzeria – Oct. 5th. Notify the cashier that you are eating in support of Mrs. Costa. A portion of sales from the evening will go to the Costa Family.
Thank you in advance for joining us in this special event!
Friday, Sept. 8th – 6-8pm – Hemby Bridge Football Field
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, favorite yard games & enjoy a night of fun with fellow HBES Families!
3 food trucks will be present – Mia Famiglia Pizzeria, KO Food Truck and Sno Ball Cabin.
PTO will be selling Soda, Water & Spirit Wear. All purchases will be CASH ONLY.
Please note this is not a drop off event and Parents/Guardians are responsible for the supervision of their children.
There will be exciting giveaways throughout the evening for all students in attendance! We hope to see you there!
2017-18 is going to be a great year at Hemby Bridge! Please consider supporting our PTO and volunteering at Hemby Bridge. We are in the process of planning for the upcoming school year. If you are interested in volunteering to help make our PTO the best it can be, contact Jennifer Schwarz at President@hbpto.org.
Our PTO is always looking for community help with projects around our school. This year, our main goal is refurbishment of our school media center. If you own a business and would like to donate to a cause that will benefit children in our community for years to come, please see our Corporate Sponsor tab. All donations are tax deductible.
