Volunteer Opportunities

Hemby Bridge Elementary PTO 2021-2022

Below is a description of the volunteer opportunities at Hemby Bridge Elementary. Volunteering opportunities are communicated through your teacher’s room parent emails. If you have questions, please contact Casey Rudzena @ president@hbpto.org

Time Commitment – 0 to 15 minutes:
Hospitality:
  Donation of food items for teacher luncheons or other teacher treats. (Thanks-Pie-Giving, Teacher Appreciation, Monthly Teacher Treats, etc.)

Classroom:  Please ask your child’s teacher what they may need for their Classroom or prep work that can be done at home and brought back to school.

Time Commitment – 30 minutes to 1 hour each time:

Fundraiser: Volunteers are needed to help during the yearly fundraiser to organized prizes, activities in the school, set up run day, and volunteer day of run.

School Events (currently not available): Volunteers are needed to help run tables at events (i.e. Back-2-School, Spring event, etc.)

Helping in the Classroom (currently not available):: Please ask your child’s teacher what they may need. Teachers may need volunteers to read to children, listen to children read, help with projects, making copies, chaperoning field trips, classroom parties, etc.

Time Commitment – 3 hours each time:

Scholastic Book Fair (TBD): The book fair is held three times each school year. Volunteers are needed for set up, tear down, and to cover hours during the school day.

Time Commitment – 3 to 5 hours each time:
EOG Proctors Events (currently not available):
 Volunteers help during EOG testing by monitoring the classroom while testing is taking place.
